However, our eight criteria seeks to screen out unethical company management and the adviser (Smead Capital Management) prefers to stay away from investments in companies whose best customers are damaged by their use of the products (i.e. alcohol, tobacco, pornography, etc.). What are the appropriate stock market indices or "benchmarks" one should use to evaluate the investment results of the Smead Value Fund?
